Hostesses

Two women. A forest. A house that is a path.

Casa da Bocaina is looked after by two women who chose to live in the mountains, as guardians of the forest, sharing their stories of the world and learning from the land, a school always in motion.

Betty Prado and Thamy Silva have lived and created this place for over a decade. Every trail, every house, every gesture of hospitality carries the presence of their two trajectories that intertwine in their care for nature, people, and the time of things.

Here, you won't be greeted by a brand. You'll be welcomed by presences.

Thamy Silva

An ESG consultant and sustainability specialist, Thamy is a force for regeneration. A visual artist, musician, and guardian of the meliponary, she cares for the agroforestry, the experiences, and the educational aspect of the house.

She leads practices such as meditative archery, welcomes students, organizes courses, and co-creates the Missão Abelhas – Reflorestando Corações project, which integrates nature, education, and social impact.

Thamy is forest and gesture. The place pulses to the rhythm of her hands.
